Cyprus 2016
I went to Cyprus for EuroCALL in August, the middle of summer (which lasts about 8 months a year). Thanks to Martin from Nayoro, who had rented a car, I was able to see a lot more of the island than I had anticipated, and it was well worth it. Most of the photos were taken outside of the conference, so this may look like a bit of a holiday.
Wednesday 24 August
I arrived on Tuesday afternoon but was so tired that I took a nap in the afternoon and woke up at about 3am. My apartment was across the street from the beach. Not bad, really.
Thursday 25 August
I went to the conference on Thursday and in the afternoon did a little road trip to Aya Napa and Cape Greko.
Friday 26 August
A full day at the conference, with a tour and banquet in the old part of the city.
Saturday 27 August
Martin and I did a road trip to Mt Olympus, Kikkos Monastery, around the north to Nikosi and then back. A full day!
Sunday 28 August
My flight was not until the evening, so Martin and I headed back to the beautiful blue waters of Capo Greko.
